Accepting a booking request

How to accept a booking request

As a host, WSTED SPACE gives you complete control over your listing - including who books your space. For a space to be booked, a user must submit a booking request to a host, and you, as the host, must accept the booking request, before a transaction is completed on the platform.

  • When a user submits a booking request for your listing, you'll receive a message in your Inbox, as well as to the email address associated with your host account
  • Once you've logged into your host account, navigate to the top bar, then select Inbox
  • Under the inbox menu, As a listing author, you'll be able to see the request, as well as some high-level details about the request, including the user profile name, the listing being requested, and the dates the user is requesting the space for
  • Click on the request. You'll be brought to the request review page. Here, you can see any messages the user sent about the request, as well as booking details, including how much you'll make on the booking (minus applicable taxes and payment processor fees)
  • You can choose to either accept or decline the booking request. Optionally, if you require more information from the user before making a decision, you can use WSTED SPACE's built-in messaging feature to send a message to the user
  • Once you've accepted the request, WSTED SPACE will automatically send a confirmation message to the user, letting them know you've accepted their booking request. You can continue to use WSTED SPACE's built-in messaging feature to communicate with the user throughout the length of the booking
  • Should you choose to decline the request, WSTED SPACE will automatically send a notification to the user, letting them know you've declined the request. You do not have to do anything further
