Getting verified as a host

Why do we require hosts to verify each listing?

At WSTED SPACE, our community is built foremost on trust. Every connection — whether it’s between a homeowner renting out a spare garage or a commuter looking for a safe, affordable place to park — must begin with trust. That’s why host verification is such an important part of our platform - and why we require all hosts verify each listing they create.

When you verify you actually own, or are able to sublease, the space you're listing for rent, you’re showing users that you’re a genuine, real person with a legitimate space to share. In a marketplace built around peer-to-peer interactions, that reassurance goes a long way. Renters want to know that the place they’re storing their car, boxes, or personal belongings in is safe and secure. It’s a simple step that takes only a few minutes for a host, but goes a long way towards building a safer, more transparent platform where both sides can interact with confidence.

Getting verified as a host

  • When you publish a new listing, you'll see a display message at the top of your new listing that says "This listing is pending approval"
  • Within 24 hours, you will receive an email from verify@wstedspace.com to the email address you used to create your host account.
  • Download the Ownership Verification Form from the email and complete all required information.
  • Send the completed document, as well as any supporting documentation, back to verify@wstedspace.com. To speed up the process, we suggest replying directly to the email when sending back the documentation, and that you ensure all information provided is accurate.
    • It is important that your supporting documentation match your listing and host profile. If there is a mismatch between the supporting documentation and your listing and/or host profile, WSTED SPACE may reject your listing.
  • Wait. WSTED SPACE's internal team will verify your information within 48-72 hours. If all checks out, you'll receive a confirmation email from verify@wstedspace.com. Your listing will be published within 24 hours from the time you receive the confirmation email.

  • WSTED SPACE reserves the right to reject your listing for any reason.
  • If you feel you have been rejected in error, please send an email to support@wstedspace.com with the subject line "Listing Rejection Dispute - FIRSTNAME LASTNAME YEARMONTHDAY."
